A once quaint, little village on the edge of town has gone sinisterly wrong, something evil is lurking... Are you brave enough to venture into this dark foreboding place? Brian Cronk, Board Member and consultant for Founders’ Museum / Pioneer Village is very excited to bring Halloween Town to life! “My love for Halloween started many years ago with the Freaky Forest in my backyard on the 15th side road and carried into the Butcher Brothers indoor walks more recently. I’ve driven by this little village most of my life and always said…wouldn't that be a great place for a Halloween walk!” Very soon the dream will come true and Halloween enthusiasts will be able to experience a completely different village.
The walk will feature a spooky story that will take you thru the entire town, 13 areas… old school house, church, pioneer home, graveyard and more. All featuring actors and creeps from your worse nightmare! The walk will have a definite boo factor but Brian and his crew like to attack all the senses and load the walk with subtle eerie effects as well. “Our motto is: If you have to ask how scary it is, then it might be too scary for you! We are hoping to get a great turn out to help raise some much needed cash to help keep the village operating.” Brian says.

Attention Guests: we are NOT sold out :)
We have been asked by many what the age limits are on the walk and we have a hard time answering that question due to the children each having their own level of fear tolerance. I personally witnessed a 6 year old girl come out laughing and moments later a 11 year old girl crying as she was too scared. Please keep in mind that our production of Halloween Town does include the following; blood, gore, zombies, scary areas, creepy people and also loud noises and strobe lights. Our aim is to scare you and hope you enjoy!
Also thank you to everyone who were very patient with us as we worked out the last of the bugs for our first ever Halloween Town and also for your support! Opening night was a huge success, thank you!

Attention Guests:
Here at Founders’ Museum & Pioneer Village we pride ourselves on being an accessible site for all guests of all needs. With our brand new event “Halloween Town” we have made some changes to the way our guests will be touring the site and want to address some concerns that have come up with the event design and guest safety. We have just installed one brand new ramp for access to the Village Square however that being said we would like to request that all guests who are in need of a power chair use a regular wheel chair due to the uneven grounds and yard and also due to the design of this spooky event so that everyone is included! We hope you have a scary adventure out in the Village.
Thanks,
Event & Founders’ Management

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our first ever Halloween event! It was a huge success thanks to all who helped bring the spooky event to life. Hats off to the MANY dedicated volunteers who gave it their all to make the event one to remember. It was such a pleasure working and interacting with all of our guests who had nothing but the best of remarks. We also want to thank our neighbours for putting up with the traffic congestion on Gillespie Rd. We have lots to review, discuss and adjust to make next years event even better and hopefully shorter wait times. Special thanks to all of our event sponsors.
Thanks,
Events & Founders' Management
