Drop in at the General Store and look through the newly arrived catalogues, visit the shops and chat with the residents while they wait for the train. Recall the memories of a one-room school and spend a quiet moment in the church.
Pay a visit at the home and you can even help do the laundry.
The carpenter, cobbler and even the blacksmith welcome you to their business establishments. The printer has opened his newspaper office. Whether your interest lies in antique cars, tractors, farm equipment, engines or motors it is all here.

The Pioneer Village is located on Hwy. 61. Just a short distance from the City of Thunder Bay. Simply drive down Hwy. 61 and turn on to Gillespie Road. Watch for the big white and blue signs. Click here for a map

Volunteers needed for 2013 season...
With the Museum switching to the "self guided" tour format we will be needing some volunteer assistance to interact with the guests who visit the museum site. We are looking for both costumed and non costumed volunteers to fill a wide assortment of vacant positions. We are seeking volunteers who enjoy interacting with the public and will help ensure our guests have the best possible experience when visiting Founders' Museum & Pioneer Village.
Also with the creation of the Founders' Shoppe we are seeking assistance with our retail location as well.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact us and let us know where you would like to lend a hand.
We strive to offer a fun volunteer environment where our volunteers enjoy spending time with our group.
We are also seeking Students who need to obtain their volunteer hours for school.
