Welcome to Founders'
Check back often for updates and new pictures as we continue to grow the website as we grow as an Organization under the vision of our late founder, Fred Goodfellow. We hope you bookmark our site and visit us often!
'Come Touch History' in this unique Northwestern Ontario Pioneer Village.
Drop in at the General Store and look through the newly arrived catalogues. Visit the shops and chat with the residents while they wait for the train. Recall the memories of a one-room school and spend a quiet moment in the village church.
Pay a visit to the homestead and you can even help do the laundry.
The carpenter, cobbler and even the blacksmith welcome you to their business establishments. Stop by the printer's to find out the latest news around the village at the newspaper office. Whether your interest lies in antique cars, tractors, farm equipment, engines or motors, Founders' Museum has it all.
The Pioneer Village is located on Highway 61, just a short distance from the City of Thunder Bay. Simply drive down Highway 61 towards the US border and turn right on Gillespie Road. Click here for a map.

New volunteers are always needed
With the Museum making use of the 'self-guided' tour format, we are seeking more volunteer assistance to interact with the guests who visit the museum site. We strive to offer a fun volunteering environment where our volunteers enjoy interacting with the public to help ensure our guests have the best possible experience when visiting Founders' Museum & Pioneer Village.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact us and let us know where and when you would like to lend a hand.
We are also seeking Students who need to obtain their volunteer hours for school.
