We hope you had just as much fun as we did for our very first Pioneer Day Camp for children.
Our first ever Pioneer Day Camp for children allowed them the opportunity to come be a part of the Village community and to learn what life once was like. We were lucky to have our Blacksmith and Carpenter who provided demonstrations to the little pioneers of their craft and how they were important in the community. We had a great turn out and everyone enjoyed various fun activities / games throughout the day and had an excellent catered lunch by Ambiance Catering of Thunder Bay. Paul of Martin Wonderland's Magic provided some great tricks that delighted everyone in attendance.
We would like to thank everyone who came out for the fun and festivities. Thanks to all of the new volunteers who helped make the day so very special for all of the children. We have heard nothing but positive comments and feedback with the only complaint being we did not start this sooner! Back to the drawing board the administration team is going to plan bigger and better games, activities and entertainment to bring good value for your money. Special thanks to Geri and Ken Little of Ambiance Catering for providing all of the little animals for our mini petting zoo. Their golden retriever puppies were a huge hit with all of our little pioneers.
